Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). Paracetamol Tablets IP 500 mg are used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever.

Adults and children over 12 years: 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 8 tablets (4 g) in 24 hours. For younger children the dose depends on body weight; use only as directed by the physician.

1. 1Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.
2. 2Take it with or without food.
3. 3Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
4. 4Do not take it together with any other medicine that contains paracetamol.

• Do not take other medicines that contain paracetamol at the same time.
• Consult a doctor before use if you have liver or kidney disease.
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
• Consult a doctor if pain lasts more than 5 days or fever lasts more than 3 days.
• Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Taking more than the recommended dose can cause serious liver damage. In case of an overdose, get medical help immediately, even if you feel well.
• Stop use and consult a doctor if you develop a skin rash or any allergic reaction.
• Read the label carefully before use.
• Keep out of reach of children.
